I really don't like watching TV, mostly because of most shows being shit and constant ad rolls-- also, it makes my head hurts for some reasons. But, I kinda like the calm, soothing documentary and cultural channels targeted to seniors.
Problem is, the ads. They're not long or annoying, it's just... About inheritance and things like that. How you will die on day and that you have to think about who you're gonna give what you own to.
It always reminds me of my recently deceased dad, because we used to have a lot of talk related to inheritance since he was very sick due to cancer.
I'm still grieving and my mom too- when we saw the ad the first time she even teared up. I felt like this was a really awkward and ironic situation.
We switched to Netflix full-time to avoid triggers like this in the future.
